Why you and your drone should be insured:

Issue identified:
Drones (or Unmanned Aerial Systems) present a new insurance risk that is becoming very common

Why it is a concern for your business?
-Exposures from drones are most probably not insured by existing coverages.
-General invasion of privacy concerns (this is a new & unlitigated exposure)
-Potential privacy concerns involving the use of facial recognition or license plate reading software
-Trespass & nuisance exposures could exist in areas where drones are frequently flown
-High‐resolution camera use could lead to the capture and publication of non‐public images
-Infringement and defamation exposures may exist for drones used for marketing purposes
-Contractors hired to provide drone services might have limited or no insurance coverage
-The use of commercial drones is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 19% between 2015 and 2020
-There is no standard approach to insurance coverage

Solution:
-Your Kapnick Insurance Team can evaluate your exposures and recommend solutions that will offer proper cost effective solutions
-Aircraft hull and liability exposure for UAS
-Personal accident

“AIRPLANE REPO MAN”

Since most of you know me personally, you know I don’t get out much…

Aviation is my passion and I’m proud to say I’ve been in it for 24 years.  Workaholic? She shamefully admits …. “YES”….

So… Last night I’m kicking around the house when my husband says, “Hey Lee, check this out” I enter the room with a quick glance at the television and what do I see?  “AIRPLANES”  he says, “I never seen this show before”,  I ask, “what is it, he says, “It’s called Airplane Repo” on Discovery.  Let’s be real here, “I’m like what?” He says yeah check it out… From here I sit down and this show becomes my FAVORITE EVER….  I watched episode after episode last night and just had to share with all of you. Check it out and if you haven’t yet seen it, you’ll thank me, I’m sure.

Just prepare yourself, once you sit, you’ll be there for hours.

Flight Attendant Goes “Crazy”

I am sure by now you’ve either heard or read about it.

A flight attendant freaks on a Commercial Passenger Jet screaming about 9-11 and how the airplane is going to crash.

What are your thoughts on this topic? How would you have reacted if you were a passenger on this flight? What steps if any would you take to be sure this type of incident didn’t happen to you or anyone else ever again?

Before we begin chatting on this topic, let’s try to keep in mind this should not be a blemish for all flight attendants…
